Description
AAA batteries are commonly used in small electronic devices, such as TV remote controls, MP3 players and digital cameras. The devices that, working at the same voltage, they require higher currents, they use higher batteries size of type AA. AA batteries have three times the capacity of AAA batteries. However, with increasing the efficiency and miniaturization of modern electronics, many products that had been designed to use AA batteries are being replaced by models that accept AAA batteries. An AAA battery measures 44.5mm in length and 10.5mm in diameter. The alkaline batteries AAA weigh around 11.5 grams each, while AAA lithium batteries weigh approximately 7.6 grams, and rechargeable (Ni-MH) batteries usually weigh between 14 and 15 grams. The nominal voltage of AAA alkaline and lithium batteries is 1.5V, while the batteries of Ni-MH or NiCd is 1.2V. The capacity of alkaline AAA batteries is usually 900 to 1155mAh (3240 to 4158 Coulombs).
